Homily for the 3rd Sunday of Advent - 2018
Rejoice the Lord is King
Your God and King adore
Mortals give thanks and sing
And triumph evermore
Lift up your hearts lift up your voice
Rejoice again, I say rejoice

How Sensitive are you to the needs of the people around you?
Dearly Beloved, Looking back to about eight years ago, I just can’t stop laughing at myself. For the first time in my life I was about to board an airplane. I was making a trip to Lagos in Nigeria. I met a parishioner at the airport who was also traveling to Nigeria. Through our conversation I got to know that he was traveling on first class. Before I could leave to check-in he was called by one of the airline officials to board and as it were, we said goodbye. Upon entering the aircraft, looking for my seat, I gaze on him sitting in one of the front seats.

Homily for the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist,
there is disorder and every foul practice.
Where do the wars
and where do the conflicts among you come from?
Is it not from your passions
that make war within your members?
You covet but do not possess.
You kill and envy but you cannot obtain;
you fight and wage war.
