Who we are: Ordinary parishioners who want to pass on our Catholic faith to the next Generation so they may know and love Jesus and be His Disciples bringing the Good News to all they meet.
What we do: Our Catechists teach classes on Sundays after the 11am Mass till 1:15 pm.
Work with the older students preparing for Confirmation in High School
Youth Group – Austin Mee is the coordinator for our NRV program. He schedules and conducts a program for Middle and High School students outside of the usual religious education classes.
RCIA Team- Help those who want to be full practicing Catholics.
Requirements to Teach: A loving heart and a willingness to give to our young people and parish community; Training will be provided in English and Spanish for all programs.
We welcome and always need more catechists and catechist aides. Want to join us?
1. The more Catechists and aides we have…the more flexible the schedules.
2. We strongly recommend co-teaching and having an aide in the class.
3. Since we are in the developing stages of a program, you will have the opportunity to contribute with fresh ideas to implement.
4. An ideal, unique quality time with the children if you just want to be an aide. Parents are encouraged to be in our classes.
5. Bi-lingual – Spanish and English – is a plus!
6. All volunteers will receive Virtus training and are required to submit to a background screening for the safety of all.
